Pune: Beneficiaries of Cancelled Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Project to Receive Flats in Kiwale

Pimpri Chinchwad, 11th February 2025: In a significant development, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced that beneficiaries of the cancelled Ravet housing project will now be allotted flats in Kiwale under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category. PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh has urged eligible beneficiaries to submit their consent letters by 15th March.
The Kiwale project consists of 755 flats specifically built for the EWS category, with each flat priced at Rs. 13 lakh. The distribution of these flats is as follows: 378 for the general category, 226 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 98 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 53 for Scheduled Tribes (ST). Additionally, 38 flats have been reserved for differently-abled beneficiaries.
Allocation will be done on a first-come, first-served basis for eligible Ravet project beneficiaries. Interested applicants must submit their consent letters to the Slum Development Department of PCMC, where a consent form template is available.
Beneficiaries are required to submit essential documents along with their consent letters, including an income certificate (up to Rs. 3 lakh), caste certificate, caste validity certificate, Aadhaar card, PAN card, bank passbook copy, voter ID card, rent agreement, electricity bill, and residence certificate.
Commissioner Singh emphasized that only applicants meeting PCMC’s criteria will be allotted flats in the Kiwale project. He also noted that the corporation reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the allocation process. This move aims to provide an alternative housing solution for those affected by the cancellation of the Ravet housing project.
