Pune: Bhaiyyaji Joshi to deliver keynote address at state-level conference of voluntary organizations

Pune, 8th February 2023: Former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarkaryawah (General Secretary) Bhaiyyaji Joshi would deliver the key-note address during the two-day Maharashtra state-level conference of voluntary organizations – ‘Seva Tarang’. The conference is being organized by ‘Sevavardhini’ and will be held at Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan in Wanowrie, on February 11th and 12th.Ma Bhayyaji Joshi, who has played a key role in the foundation of Sevavardhini, will deliver the key-note address on the topic ‘Indian perspective of Sewa’ on Saturday February 11th at 11 am. The conference is co-hosted by Mukul Madhav Foundation, Persistent Foundation and PRAJ Foundation.

“The conference is being held to celebrate the silver jubilee year of Sevarvardhini, with the objective of bringing together all the voluntary organizations. There will be deliberations on the issues they are facing and the voluntary organizations will also be educated on a host of other areas including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We are also paying a tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay by hosting the function on February 11, which is his death anniversary,” said Dr. Pramod Chaudhari, Honorary President, Sevavardhini.

On the first day, there will be a group discussion on ‘Social scenario of Maharashtra and role of voluntary organizations’ by two groups – one group by representatives of organizations from Konkan and western Maharashtra and another group by representatives of Khandesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada. Another key session is the interview of two renowned social workers who are felicitated by Padma Awards – Sh. Girish Prabhune, who is known for his work for upliftment of the nomadic Pardhi community and Rahibai Popere, who is known as the ‘Seed Mother’. In addition, there will be a session on volunteering for students on the first day. A “NGO Clinic’ will also be held where financial and legal experts including Advocate Parag Erande, CA Abhay Mate, will speak on the issues concerning voluntary organizations.

The second day will have a session on ‘Social Stock Exchange and CSR’, which will be conducted by Girish Soni. Vijay Puranik, Joint General Secretary, Rashtriya Seva Bharati, which is the apex body of voluntary organizations, will deliver the concluding address on February 12 at 12.30 pm.
