Pune: Bharat Forge to Set Up Mega Project Worth Rs 2,000 Crore in Baramati; Create Employment for 1,200 People
Baramati, 11th October 2024: Bharat Forge, the world’s largest forging company, is set to establish a mega site of Kalyani Technoforge Limited on a fifty-acre site in Baramati. This project, with an investment of ₹2,000 crore, will provide direct employment opportunities for 1,200 people.
The company plans to expand its operations in Baramati and intends to manufacture aluminum forging, spare parts, steel forging, assembly and sub-assembly components, and gears for electric and hybrid vehicles.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar stated that the company has requested 50 acres of land, which has been approved by Industry Minister Uday Samant. The company has also sought facilities for industrially backward areas for the proposed project.
Ajit Pawar actively pursued the implementation of the Bharat Forge project in Baramati. After discussions with Amit Kalyani, he promptly coordinated with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) regarding the land allocation. This project is expected to significantly boost the industrial development of Baramati and create substantial employment opportunities. It will be executed on land returned by Sahyadri Angro.
Bharat Forge will export to foreign companies and has already signed agreements for this purpose, requesting immediate provision of space.
