Pune–Bhubaneswar Direct Flight: IndiGo to Start Daily Service Under Winter Schedule
Viman Nagar, 24th October 2026: Pune Airport will introduce a daily direct flight to Bhubaneswar from October 25 as part of the Winter Schedule 2026-27, which comes into effect on Sunday. Airlines have taken up 216 of the 235 daily slots available at the airport under the schedule approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The new Pune–Bhubaneswar service, to be operated by IndiGo, will provide direct air connectivity between Pune and the capital of Odisha, offering an additional travel option for passengers travelling between western and eastern India.
Pune Airport currently offers direct connectivity to 35 destinations. The winter schedule is expected to provide passengers with additional travel options and support connectivity for business, education, tourism, trade and industrial activities.
Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol said the new daily service would strengthen connectivity between Pune and Bhubaneswar.
“The commencement of a new daily direct flight between Pune and Bhubaneswar from 25 October 2026, under the Winter Schedule 2026–27, will further strengthen air connectivity between these two important cities,” Mohol said.
He added that the service would facilitate travel for business, tourism and education, promote cultural exchange and improve passenger convenience.
The new flight is expected to benefit business travellers, professionals, students and tourists travelling between the two cities. It will also provide an alternative to journeys involving connecting flights through other cities.
With airlines taking up 216 of the 235 available daily slots, Pune Airport continues to serve as an important aviation hub for Maharashtra, catering to the region’s growing passenger traffic and travel requirements.
