Pune: BJP Leader Swati Mohol Alleges Husband’s Murder Due to Hindutva Work
Kothrud, 8th January 2024: Following the murder of gangster Sharad Mohol, his wife and BJP leader Swati Mohol addressed the media today, asserting that her husband was killed due to his association with Hindutva. This marks Swati’s first public statement since the tragic incident.
BJP MLA Nitesh Rane visited the Mohol family to offer condolences and support, after which Swati Mohol shared her perspective with journalists.
Expressing faith in the government and administration, Swati stated, “The incident that happened with my husband occurred because he was working for Hindutva. If others think that I will back down, I have one thing to say – I am the wife of a Hindu. My husband was a tiger, and I am his tigress. I will fight for Hindutva till death,” concluding with a resounding “Jai Shri Ram.”
Supporters present at the scene echoed their support with chants of “Jai Shri Ram.” Residents from the area where Sharad Mohol lived also spoke to the media, emphasizing his positive impact on the community. One resident stated, “Bhau was a godsend for our residents. Since he came to live here three to four years ago, we did not fear anyone because of Bhau.”
In response to Swati’s statement, Nitesh Rane addressed the media, suggesting that Sharad Mohol had been portrayed incorrectly by some media outlets, causing resentment among his family and associates. Rane urged the media to refrain from creating a misleading image, emphasizing that the Hindu community faced challenges in such situations.
