Pune: Builder Booked For Cheating Woman Flat Buyer
Hinjawadi, 31st December 2022: During the purchase of a flat, by changing the map shown in the purchase deed and building in the area shown for the garden, without giving possession of the flat, a case of fraud of Rs 1.03 crore has been registered against Rohan Builders Director Suhas Lunkad along with Milind Lunkad, Sanjay Lunkad, Deepak Bhatewara, Mayur Patil, Rajeev Gambhir, Prashant Gadhave along with two women and an unidentified painter.
A 41-year-old woman has filed a complaint of fraud and molestation in this regard. Hinjewadi Police station has registered a case under IPC sections 420, 421, 403, 406, 405, 409, 426, 441, 464, 467, 468, 471, 354, 354 A, 34.
According to police, the complainant woman currently resides in Singapore with her husband. While searching online for a flat, she got a call from the office of Rohan Builders. The complainant then completed the purchase agreement of three BHK flats in 2018. For this, she took a home loan from SBI. For the same flat, she had paid some amount in stages.
In April 2019, she was informed by email from Rohan Builders that the flat is ready for possession and the balance should be paid within seven days. She then deposited the money from the bank to the account of the builder.
When the woman visited the actual site after arriving in India, she saw a different construction than the map attached to her agreement. When she tried to get information, she was given vague answers.
She went to the Municipal Corporation and checked the original document. Therefore, the area shown on the map after the purchase is not the garden area but a different construction is shown there. She noticed that the accused had prepared a fake map with the intention of cheating and entered it into the agreement document.
When asked about the same, she was threatened by the office that Rohan Builder is a big brand and her lawyer can’t do anything wrong. Another flat booked by the complainant woman was also ransacked.
After going to file a complaint with the police, an unknown person stopped her on the road and threatened her. It has been stated in the complaint that she was molested by touching her body.
