Pune: Businessman Abducted By Three Men On Pretext Of Shopping

Manjri, 24th November 2022: A young businessman who owns two shops was abducted from Manjri, Pune, on Wednesday. While Pune city police were searching for the kidnappers, they released him in Vasai.

 

The accused, who came on the pretext of shopping at around 11 pm, abducted him from the shop and forcibly pushed him into a car.

 

Based on a complaint from the 32-year-old businessman, an FIR has been registered at Hadapsar police station in this regard. However, the motive behind the abduction is not yet known.

According to the information given by the police, the businessman is a native of Rajasthan and has been living in Pune for the past four years. He has two stores of stationery and a matching centre in Manjri.

 

Meanwhile, around 11 pm, three people came to his shop for shopping purposes. But, after some time, the three forcibly abducted him and made him sit in the car. After hearing his shout for help, a person informed the police by dialling 100.

 

As soon as the information about this incident came to light, senior officials including Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Vikrant Deshmukh, DCP (Crime) Amol Zende, and Senior Police Inspector Arvind Gokule of Hadapsar police station rushed to the spot.

 

While different teams were searching based on CCTV and other information, police received a call at around 1 am from the businessman who informed them that he has been dropped off safely in Vasai. He reached Pune around 5 am by bus.

 

Cops are further investigating the case.
