Pune Businessman Swindled of Rs 90.75 Lakhs in Saudi Business Venture Scam

Pune, 31st August 2023: A distressing incident has come to the fore, revealing how a businessman was duped of a staggering sum of Rs 90.75 lakhs under the pretense of commencing a business venture in Saudi Arabia. Samarth Police Station have taken action in this matter by registering a case against six individuals.

The individuals identified as Nadeer Abdul Hussain Ali Naimaabadi (40 years old), Seema Nadeer Naimaabadi (35 years old, both residents of Camp area), Maulana Shoaib Mainuddin Attar (35 years old), Majeed Usman Attar (50 years old), Khalid Mainuddin Attar (40 years old), and Iram Shoaib Attar (32 years old, all hailing from Bopodi), are now under the scanner of the law enforcement authorities. The aggrieved businessman approached Samarth Police Station to file a formal complaint. The complainant is involved in the business of selling footwear in the Rasta Peth area.

The accused masterminded a deceptive scheme to lure the businessman and his spouse into initiating a business endeavor in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Naima Abadi and Maulana Attar, both among the accused, presented fabricated business documents to the victim. Maulana Attar took Rs 25,000 from the businessman under the pretext of creating a talisman. Subsequently, exploiting the allure of investment in the business, the accused swindled an astonishing Rs 90.75 lakhs from the complainant in a series of transactions.

Upon discovering the deceitful nature of the transactions, the businessman promptly reported the fraud to the police. In response, a comprehensive case has been registered against the accused. The investigation is being spearheaded by Sub-Inspector Sunil Randive.
