Pune: Central Railway Extends Operations of 1106 Trips for Special Trains to Accommodate Increased Passenger Demand

Pune, 20th December 2023: In response to the escalating demand for travel and to facilitate commuters during the upcoming months, Central Railway has announced the extension of 1106 trips for several special train services.
The Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Solapur route, serving as a vital connection, will witness an extension in the operating period for Train No. 01435 (Solapur-LTT) and Train No. 01436 (LTT-Solapur) specials. The former, initially slated to cease on December 26, 2023, will now continue from January 2, 2024, to March 26, 2024, comprising an additional 13 trips. Meanwhile, Train No. 01436 will extend its service from January 3, 2024, to March 27, 2024, offering an equal number of extra trips.
Furthermore, the Solapur-Tirupati and Pune-Amravati routes will experience similar extensions. Train No. 01437 (Solapur-Tirupati) and Train No. 01438 (Tirupati-Solapur) will operate 13 and 12 additional trips respectively, accommodating passengers from January 4, 2024, to March 29, 2024. Additionally, the Pune-Amravati bi-weekly specials will continue their service from January 5, 2024, to April 1, 2024, encompassing 26 trips each.
Daily specials including the Solapur-Daund, Solapur-Kalaburagi, Badnera-Nashik, and Pune-Harangul routes will operate for 91 additional trips each, spanning from January 1, 2024, to March 31, 2024. Similarly, the Nagpur-Madgaon and Pune-Chatrapathi Sahumaharaj Terminus Kolhapur routes will offer 26 and 90 extra trips respectively, extending from January 3, 2024, to March 30, 2024.
Passengers can make reservations for these extended services through Computerized Reservation Centres and the official IRCTC website. Detailed schedules for halts and specific timings are available on www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in or through the NTES App.
This initiative by Central Railway aims to alleviate the burden on regular train services and provide adequate travel options for passengers. Commuters are encouraged to take advantage of these extended special train services.
