Pune: Citizens of Pimpri-Chinchwad Celebrate Dussehra with Vehicle Purchases
Pimpri, 26th October 2023: On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, celebrated as one of the major muhurta’s, the residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad city embraced the spirit of the festival by making significant purchases. In a display of enthusiasm, 4,072 two-wheelers and 2,451 motor cars were acquired on the occasion of that festive day.
The Pimpri Chinchwad Sub-Regional Transport Office (RTO) witnessed an impressive total of 7,276 vehicles being registered between the 15th and 24th of October 2023. This surge in vehicle registrations resulted in a substantial revenue of Rs 37 crores, 45 lakh, and 59 thousand for the RTO.
Traditionally, Dussehra is considered an auspicious time for major acquisitions, including homes, gold, and vehicles. Many individuals choose this occasion to take possession of their new vehicles, and consequently, vehicle bookings are made in advance to secure a preferred Muhurta.
Sub-regional officer Atul Ade shared, “Seven thousand vehicles were registered in ten days.” This surge in vehicle registrations signifies the importance of Dussehra as a time for new beginnings and significant life events.
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Sub-Regional Transport Office has registered 7,276 vehicles since its inception during the Dussehra festivities. The statistics indicate that the number of two-wheelers registered stands at 4,042, while 2,451 new motor cars have found their owners. Additionally, several individuals had their vehicles registered in the days leading up to Dussehra to ensure a timely delivery.
In just a span of ten days, an impressive 7,276 vehicles of various types were registered, contributing to a revenue of Rs 37 crores, 45 lakh, and 59 thousand. The diverse range of registered vehicles includes motorcycles, cars, tractors, freight transport tempos, rickshaws, private buses, and other vehicles, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the festival season.
