Pune City Half Marathon 2026: 15,000 Runners to Hit the Streets on March 1
Pune, 26th February 2026: After the grand success of the last two Half Marathons The Poona Club Ltd is back with the third edition of the Pune City Marathon which will be held on 01st March 2026 executed by Dorabjee Charitable Trust in support with Southern Command, Income Tax Dept Pune, Pune Police, Dept of Goods and Services (GST) and the Pune Municipal Corporation.
This year we will be having 15000 plus runners, participating in 4 different categories which is 21.1 km, 10 km, 5 km and 3 km. The Race Director Shailesh Ranka mentioned that the Pune City Marathon is not just a Marathon but a movement that unites the community for a healthier, greener and a more compassionate Pune. Each step taken in this Marathon is a commitment to multiple causes creating a positive impact on the environment and the society.
Jehangir Dorabjee from Dorabjee Charitable Trust quoted that this is the third time we are executing this Marathon and the enthusiasm shown to us by our Sponsors, the Government Department and the runners is overwhelming.
Gaurav Gadhoke, President of The Poona Club Ltd stated that the scale of this Marathon is the biggest in Pune city and this is the only Marathon which lets the runners run in the lush green cantonment areas of Pune. The President also stated that Poona Club has conceptualised this Marathon since the last two years and are forging ahead for many more years to come.
Shailesh Ranka stated that every single participant will be given a kit comprising of T-Shirt, a bag, goodies, discount vouchers and many more. He also stated that post the race every participant will be awarded a finisher medal alongwith refreshments and breakfast.
This year the Marathon will commence at 5 am from the Race Course. The Pune City Marathon organisers also mentioned that there is a prize money for the winners in all different age and gender categories.
