Pune: Class XI Special Admission Round Begins Today Across Maharashtra

Pune, 29th June 2026: The first special round of admissions to Class XI (First Year Junior College) under the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) will begin across Maharashtra on Monday (June 29). Students who have not yet registered can complete fresh registrations during the round, while those already registered will be allowed to make corrections in Part I of their application forms, revise their college preference order and lock their applications between June 29 and July 1. The allotment list for the special round will be announced on July 3.

The state is conducting the admission process for 22,14,406 seats across 9,669 junior colleges. A total of 14,37,656 students have registered for admissions so far.

Of the 18,26,179 seats available under the CAP, admissions have been confirmed for 6,45,709 seats. Under the quota admissions, 1,28,503 admissions have been completed against the available 3,88,227 seats. Overall, admissions of 7,74,212 students have been confirmed through the three regular rounds conducted under both the CAP and quota categories.

According to the admission schedule, the online allotment process for the first special round will be conducted on July 2. On July 3, the allotment list will be published on the admission portal, students will be able to view the colleges allotted to them through their login accounts, junior colleges will receive the list of allotted students, the round-wise cut-off marks will be declared and SMS alerts will be sent to candidates.

Students who are satisfied with the allotted college must complete the admission process between July 3 and July 6 by reporting to the allotted junior college for document verification and payment of the prescribed fees. Their admissions will be confirmed after successful verification and fee payment.

The schedule for the next admission round will be announced on July 6. July 7 has been reserved for administrative work by junior colleges, while the list of vacant seats will be published on July 8.
