CM Devendra Fadnavis Offers Prayers at Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi

Bhavani Peth, 10th July 2026: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday offered prayers at the sacred Padukas of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj at the Palkhi Vitthal Temple in Bhavani Peth as part of the Ashadhi Wari celebrations. He also performed the traditional pooja of the Palkhi at the temple.

The Chief Minister was felicitated by the temple committee during his visit. Addressing the gathering, Fadnavis extended his best wishes to the thousands of Warkaris undertaking the annual pilgrimage to Pandharpur with the revered Palkhi.

Among those present on the occasion were Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol, Mayor Manjusha Nagpure, Minister of State Madhuri Misal, MLA Hemant Rasane, Divisional Commissioner Sheetal Teli-Ugale, District Collector Jitendra Dudi, Chief Trustee of Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sansthan Yogi Niranjannath Guru Shantinath, Rajendra Umap, Bhavarth Dekhane, and trustees of the Palkhi Vitthal Temple.

A large number of Warkaris and devotees gathered at the temple to witness the occasion.

Earlier on Thursday, the Palkhi of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj arrived at the Palkhi Vitthal Temple amid a deeply devotional atmosphere.

The air resonated with chants of “Vitthal Vitthal” and “Dnyanoba Tukaram” as Warkaris, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of cymbals and mridangam drums, welcomed the revered Palkhi before its onward journey to Pandharpur for the Ashadhi Wari.
