Pune: CM Fadnavis Lays Foundation for Bajaj Finserv’s 7.2 Million Sq Ft AI-Powered Campus near Koregaon Park; Here’s What It Will Feature

Koregaon Park, 4th September 2026: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday laid the foundation stone for the Bajaj Finserv Campus at Koregaon Park Annexe in Pune, which is being designed as India’s first “sentient” corporate campus.

Built with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) at its core, the campus will be designed to sense its environment and occupants’ needs and proactively adapt in real time.

The ceremony was attended by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, Pune Mayor Manjusha Nagpure and other state dignitaries.

Fadnavis praises Bajaj Finserv’s fintech role

Speaking at the ceremony, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “Maharashtra has a strong industrial character and one of the names that defines it is the Bajaj family. The late Jamnalal Bajaj was a great freedom fighter, Gandhian leader and industrialist who made an important contribution to India’s industrial journey and nation-building.

“Over the past century, the Bajaj Group has been an important partner in India’s overall development journey. In financial services, Bajaj Finserv, a part of the Group, stands out against every benchmark. The company has consistently leveraged financial technology and is a key player in our fintech ecosystem, helping people access loans, insurance and other financial services easily in a digital economy.

“The Bajaj Finserv Campus will not only be the largest but also the most intelligent and sustainable ecosystem in the country. As fintech becomes increasingly central to Pune, I congratulate Sanjiv Bajaj for choosing to build the country’s largest campus here, further cementing Maharashtra’s position in fintech.”

Campus to bring Bajaj Finserv businesses under one roof

The Bajaj Finserv Campus will serve as the corporate office of Bajaj Finserv and bring its diversified financial services businesses, spanning lending, deposits, payments, insurance and investments, together at a common address for the first time.

Spread across 7.2 million square feet, the campus is set to house Pune’s tallest steel tower and India’s largest single-location financial services office.

An intelligent campus that senses and adapts

The Bajaj Finserv Campus is being designed around three pillars — sustainability, environmental design and employee wellbeing — with technology serving as the foundation.
AI and IoT systems will enable the campus to respond to changing weather, occupancy and environmental conditions. Sensors and analytics will help optimise energy and water consumption, crowd density and movement, while making operations safer and more efficient.

Predictive maintenance systems using IoT sensors will monitor critical infrastructure, while automation and robotics will support campus operations.

Designed around sustainability and people

The campus’ eco-efficient design will maximise natural ventilation and daylight while reducing cooling requirements. The campus will operate on renewable energy and target 80% water recycling, rainwater harvesting and zero waste, supporting Bajaj Finserv’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by FY2032.

Its biophilic design will bring nature into the workplace through extensive green zones, including rare Ayurvedic gardens, Miyawaki forests and replanted native forests. Native species from Maharashtra will be used to support biodiversity.

Employee wellbeing will be supported through floor- and cluster-level monitoring of air quality and temperature, enabling a healthier workplace.

An integrated Bajaj One Employee App will provide access to campus facilities, including navigation, parking and bookings. The campus will also have an integrated medical centre offering telemedicine and emergency response services, along with dedicated wellness support.

Indian arts, heritage and social impact

Indian art and craft traditions will be woven into the campus design, showcasing both existing and lost art forms.

Elements of Bajaj Finserv’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes, along with contributions from their beneficiaries, will also be integrated into the campus design.

The Bajaj Finserv Campus will reflect the spirit of “Made in India, Made for India, Made by India.”
