Pune: Coaches Increased In Many Passenger And Express Trains

Pune, 15th June 2023: The Railway Administration has announced permanent modifications to the coach composition of several passenger trains, aimed at enhancing passenger convenience. 

These changes will be implemented from specific dates mentioned below:

1. Kalaburagi – Kolhapur – Kalaburagi Express (Train number 22155/22156): Starting from June 26, this train will operate with an updated coach composition. Two additional 3 AC coaches and three sleeper coaches have been included. The revised total stands at 17 coaches, including 12 General second class, 2 AC, and 3 sleeper coaches.
2. Nagpur – Kolhapur – Nagpur Express (Train number 11404/11403): Effective June 19 from Kolhapur and June 20 from Nagpur, this train will feature an extended 3AC coach. The modified composition will comprise 5 General II Class, 4 AC, 10 sleeper, and 1 three AC coach, totaling 20 coaches.
3. Hazrat Nizamuddin – Kolhapur – Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (Train number 12147/21248): Starting from June 20 at Kolhapur and June 22 at Hazrat Nizamuddin, this train will witness the addition of one 3AC coach and two sleeper coaches. The revised composition will include 6 General Second Class, 2 AC Two, 11 sleeper, and 4 three AC coaches, amounting to 22 coaches.
4. Ahmedabad – Kolhapur – Ahmedabad Express (Train number 11050/11049): From June 24 at Kolhapur and June 25 at Ahmedabad, this train will incorporate an increased number of one 3 AC coach and two sleeper coaches. The updated composition will consist of 6 General Second Class, 2 AC Two, 11 sleeper, and 4 three AC coaches, totaling 22 coaches.
5. Dadar – Sainagar Shirdi – Dadar Express (Train number 11041/11042): Starting from June 20 at Dadar and June 21 at Sainagar Shirdi, this train will experience an augmentation of one 3AC coach. The revised coach composition will include 5 second class, 3 AC, 6 sleeper, and 1 two AC cum three AC coach, amounting to a total of 14 coaches.
6. Dadar – Pandharpur – Dadar Express (Train number 11027/11028): Effective June 19 from Dadar and June 20 from Pandharpur, this train will have an additional 3AC coach. The modified composition will consist of 5 General II Category, 2 AC Three, 6 sleeper, and 1 two AC cum three AC coach, making a total of 14 coaches.

These changes aim to improve the travel experience for passengers and accommodate the growing demand on these routes. Passengers are advised to note the revised coach compositions and plan their journeys accordingly.
