Pune: Cops Raise Rs 11 Lakh To Help Family Of Batchmate Who Died In Accident

Pune, 9th February 2023: The batchmates of a policeman have come forward to help his family to overcome the crisis due to his accidental death.

Nitin Shinde of the Pune Police passed away in an accident on January 31. He was posted with the Bharosa Cell under Crime Branch. After that, each of the police personnel from the batch of 2007 contributed a total of Rs 11 lakh with amounts ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000. All the collected amount will be a fixed deposit (FD) in the bank in the name of Nitin’s daughters, informed his friends who collected the help.

They said that they have tried to provide some financial help so that Nitin remains in their memory forever.

11 lakh rupees collected by friends will be given to Nitin’s daughters. After making a fixed deposit in the bank, they will get interested every month. This will help to meet the educational expenses of both girls. In that regard, this amount will be deposited in the post office or government bank soon.

Formalities have been initiated to induct the wife of the late Shinde into the police force on compassionate grounds. Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende and Additional Commissioner Ramnath Pokle called Nitin’s wife a few days ago and guided her. Apart from that, the submission of documents is indicated.

Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police Retesh Kumaarr, and Joint Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, along with other officers and employees, have expressed their sympathy for Nitin’s family.
