Pune Coronavirus: PMC to distribute Masks, rations in containment zones to make people stay at home

Pune, May 9, 2020: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is distributing free masks and rations to the citizens of restricted areas ie the containment zones. People are not allowed exit or enter these the 69 containment zones in PMC limit.

The ration kits provided to the citizens include essential items like sugar, flour, sweet oil, pulses, rice, poha, salt, soap, chilli powder, tea powder and milk powder. As many people are not able to afford ration and shops are open for only few hours, this initiative will bring sigh of relief to people.

The bags of ration kits of essential items will be distributed to the citizens of the restricted area in the presence of the people’s representatives and corporators of the respective areas. Essential kits will be distributed to about 70,000 households in the restricted area.
