Hadapsar, 6th January 2025: A property distribution program was organized by the Pune City Police Commissionerate at Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan within the limits of Zone 5. During this event, Pune City Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar took a strong stance against illegal businesses, gangs, and extortion. He warned them to leave the city or face severe consequences.

The foundation day of the Maharashtra Police Force is celebrated on 2nd January every year. As part of this celebration, Pune Police are conducting various programs throughout the week. Today’s event focused on valuable property distribution, where properties worth more than Rs 1.80 Crore were returned to complainants. These included seized vehicles, phones, jewellery, and cash.

Speaking at the event, CP Amitesh Kumar addressed those with criminal intentions, stating, “Some people have developed a bad attitude. This is a warning for them. If you are involved in illegal businesses, extortion via gangs, or land grabbing, leave the city or we will make you remember your seven generations.”

Kumar emphasized the sentimental value of the stolen items to their original owners. He explained, “Court processes can be time-consuming, which is why we have initiated this program to ensure no financial strain comes on the people.” Today, 80 complainants received their stolen items. The Commissioner announced that this initiative would soon be implemented in other zones as well.

Expressing his gratitude to citizens for their cooperation, Kumar encouraged them to remain vigilant. Zone 5 comprises two divisions: Hadapsar and Wanawadi.
