Pune: Crime Branch Raids Hookah Parlours In Koregaon Park And The Mills

Pune, 24th January 2023: The Crime Branch raided two illegal hookah parlors in Koregaon Park, Pune. Cases have been registered against hotel owners and managers running hookah parlours.

The Social Security Cell (SSC) of the Crime Branch conducted raids after finding out that a hookah parlor was running in a hotel named Rock Water in a building named Gera Legend in Koregaon Park area.

In this action, materials worth Rs 21,200 including hookah and flavored tobacco were seized. A case was registered against the hotel manager in this matter.

The action was taken under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Amol Zende, Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav, Assistant Inspector Ashwini Patil, Aniket Pote, and Ajay Rane, Anna Mane, Manisha Pukale, Pramod Mohite, Pushpendra Chavan.

The anti-narcotic cell raided the hookah parlor running in Hotel ‘Drama 9’ in the premises of Raja Bahadur Mill. In this action, goods worth Rs 52,500 including hookah and flavored tobacco were seized. In this case, a case was registered against seven people including the hotel owner.

This action was taken by Senior Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad, Assistant Inspector Laxman Dhengale, Shailja Jankar, and Pravin Utekar, Sandeep Shirke, Maruti Pardhi, Sujit Wadekar etc.
