Pune: Criminal On Police Record Arrested With Many Choppers
Shukrawar Peth, 3rd March 2022: A person from Bhavani Peth was nabbed by officials from Khadak police station under Pune Police for illegally possessing many sharp weapons.
Acting on a tip-off received by policemen Sandip Talekar and Himmat Holkar, cops arrested Sohail Shaikh (27) while he was waiting at Motor Stand Chowk in Bhavani Peth. Police had seized a sickle from his bag and Rs 2800 cash. In 2017, he was charged with an attempt to murder case.
Police Sub Inspector Atul Bankar is conducting further investigations.
