Pune: Cycle Rally Organised At Baramati For Women’s Day
Baramati, 8th March 2023: On behalf of the Baramati Municipal Women and Child Welfare Department, Environmental Forum of India, Bhagini Mandal, and Baramati Cycle Club, a cycle rally was organised on Wednesday (8th March) to celebrate Women’s Day.
Chief Mahesh Rokade, Malegaon Nagar Panchayat Chief Smita Kale, and Forest Range Officer Shubhangi Lonkar showed the rally green flag at Tin Hatti Chowk. More than 150 women participated in this rally. Some youth also participated in the rally to encourage women.
The rally ended at Gool Poonawala Garden via Ring Road from Teen Hatti Chowk to Bhigwan Road. Environmental Forum of India President Sunetra Pawar was present as the chief guest at Poonawala Garden. The women who completed the rally were awarded Swachhadoot and Swachhamitra certificates by Sunetra Pawar.
On the occasion of Women’s Day, Pratibha Anil Date, Dr Neeta Anilkumar Doshi, Lakshmiprabha Satish Kare, Yogita Rajan Kalokhe, Radhika Sanjay Darade, and Madhavi Mulik were felicitated.
Former Mayor Poornima Taware, Mahesh Rokade, Aarti Pawar, Shubhangi Lonkar, Smita Kale, Cycle Club President Adv Srinivas Vaikar, Bahini Mandal Chief Trustee Sunita Shah, and other dignitaries were present. Sangeeta Kakade hosted the event, and Deepa Mahadik, President of Bhagini Mandal, proposed the vote of thanks.
