Pune: Dehu Road Police Crack Down On Illegal Gas Refilling, Two Arrested
Dehu Road, 6th November 2023: The Dehu Road Police have registered a case against four individuals involved in the black market of domestic gas. Two of the accused have been arrested in the Vikas Nagar area of Dehu Road. The police took action against this illegal gas refilling operation on Sunday.
The arrested individuals are Vijay Bhausaheb Kokare (28 years old) and Anil Baban Gadale (24 years old), both residents of Dehu Road. A case has been filed against Shashikant Sanjay Mitkari (23 years old) and Prashant Ashok Karande (19 years old), who are also residents of Dehu Road.
According to the police, the accused were engaged in the unauthorized transfer of gas from full cylinders to empty ones, without permission and safety measures. This illegal activity posed a life-threatening risk. As a result, Dehu Road Police arrested two of the accused and are continuing their investigation.
