Pune: Demand For Vegetables Increase By 10-20%

Pune, January 25, 2021: The arrival of fruits and vegetables in the Market Yard is stable as compared to last week. However, due to increased demand, prices of bottle gourd, cucumber, green chillies and peas have increased by 10 to 20 percent. The prices of Capsicum and Onion have declined.
Trader Vilas Bhujbal informed that due to the balance between supply and demand, prices of all other fruits and vegetables remained stable as compared to last week.
About 80 to 90 vehicles arrived at the market on Sunday. They include 10 to 11 tempo carrots from Rajasthan, 4 to 5 tempo cabbage from Gujarat and Karnataka, 4 to 5 tempo drumsticks from Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, 8 to 10 tempo green chillies from Karnataka and Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. 11 to 12 trucks of peas, 7 to 8 trucks of garlic from Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, 30 to 35 trucks of potatoes from Agra, Indore and local supply.
Cabbage about 7 to 8 tempo, cauliflower 10 to 12 tempo, ladyfinger 7 to 8 tempo, guar 5 to 6 tempo, capsicum 10 to 12 tempo, tomato 10 to 12 thousand boxes, 50 to 55 bags of groundnuts, 8 to 10 bags of red pumpkin, 4 to 5 bags of green chillies, 5 to 6 bags of guar, 140 trucks of new onions and 30 trucks of old onions arrived.
