Pimpri Chinchwad, 20th January 2024: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, known for his candid statements, once again addressed the critical issue of population growth during an event in Pimpri. Pawar expressed concerns about the challenges posed by a rapidly increasing population, emphasizing the need for responsible family planning.

Speaking at the event, Pawar remarked, “Even Lord Brahma would struggle to provide homes for everyone if the population continues to grow unchecked. Fathers, consider waiting for one or two children, as the consequences of uncontrolled growth are evident. The population has significantly increased in the last 33 years since I came into politics. Even divine intervention may not be sufficient to accommodate everyone.”

Despite the early morning timing of the program, Pawar justified it by stating, “Starting early in the morning ensures that work gets done quickly.”

Addressing concerns related to the lottery of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pawar criticized the unauthorized brokers operating in the market. He clarified, “The Municipal Corporation has not appointed any brokers for the lottery. If someone approaches you claiming to expedite the process for a fee, report them immediately. Fate will determine your number, and unscrupulous individuals should not take credit for your success and exploit you financially.”

The Deputy Chief Minister urged citizens to be vigilant, emphasizing that rightful beneficiaries should not fall prey to fraudulent practices.
