Pune District: 8,292 New COVID Cases, 42 Deaths Reported Today

Pune, 28 March 2021: A total of 8,292 fresh Coronavirus disease (COVID19) positive cases were reported today in the Pune district. Also, 4,158 patients got discharged from hospitals while 42 people died today.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that to date the total number of COVID cases has reached 5,14,639. Out of this, 4,45,942 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals, while 9,842 people have died. There are about 59,024 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals and in-home isolation. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 28,16,513 people have been tested in the district.
