Pune district administration completes preparations for Corona vaccination

Pune, January 13, 2021: The first phase of Corona vaccination for health workers will start on January 16. “The Pune district administration has completed its preparations for vaccination and the concerned departments should work flawlessly and carry out the vaccination process smoothly”, said District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh.

He was speaking at ‘Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign District Action Committee Meeting’ held at the District Collector’s Office. The meeting was attended by District Surgeon Dr Ashok Nandapurkar, Additional Chief Executive Officer Bharat Shendge, World Health Organization Survey Medical Officer Dr Chetan Khade, District Immunization Officer Dr Sachin Edke, Medical Superintendent of Sassoon Hospital Ajay Taware as well as officers of various departments were present.

Deshmukh said that the first dose should be given to the health workers on January 16 and the second dose should be planned on time. The vaccination process should be carried out smoothly as per the guidelines of the Central Government.

Deshmukh said that all the departments involved in the vaccination process should coordinate with each other to carry out the vaccination work accurately. For this, proper planning should be done.

He said that power supply should be maintained at the place of vaccination storage and care should be taken to ensure uninterrupted power supply. District Surgeon Dr Ashok Nandapurkar gave detailed information about the preparations made for vaccination.
