Pune District Reports 1139 New COVID Cases Today, 827 Discharged

Pune, 25 June 2021: A total of 1139 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 827 people were discharged from hospitals. 17 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9017 active patients in the district and 5459 of them are admitted in hospitals while 3558  are in home isolation. Out of 1139 new cases, 258 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 236 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 92 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 5 in cantonments and 548 in rural areas.

Among the 17 deaths, six were in PMC, three in PCMC, two in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad),  and six in rural areas. Out of 827 discharged patients, 246 were in PMC, 140 were in PCMC, 83 in municipal councils, 15 in cantonments, and 343 in rural areas.
