Pune District Reports 1142 New COVID Cases Today, 1335 Discharged
Pune, 15th June 2021: A total of 1142 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 1335 people were discharged from hospitals. 23 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 11,255 active patients in the district and 7610 of them are admitted in hospitals while 3645 are in home isolation. Out of 1142 new cases, 246 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 199 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 105 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 35 in cantonments and 557 in rural areas.
Among the 23 deaths, ten were in PMC, four in PCMC, two in municipal councils and seven in rural areas. Out of 1335 discharged patients, 351 were in PMC, 224 were in PCMC, 163 in municipal councils, 53 in cantonments and 544 in rural areas.
