Pune division tops Maharashtra SSC exam result, Here’s how you can check marks

Pune, July 29, 2020: Taking a leap of around 18 percent from last year’s result, the state recorded a pass percentage of 95.30 in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination this year. Pune division comprising Pune, Solapur and Ahmednagar districts has secured a pass percentage of 97.34.

Out of the 15,75,103 students who had applied for the SSC examination across the state this year, 15,01,105 have passed this year.

Last year, the result had dropped by over 12 percent than the previous year. After parents and students had blamed the discard of the internal marking system in SSC examination 2019 for the decrease in pass percentage, the Maharashtra State Government had re-included the system for the SSC examination 2020. TLast year’s SSC batch was also the first to answer the board examination with a revised syllabus and a more subjective question paper pattern.

Highlights of the result

  • Girls have outdone boys this year as well as the pass percentage in girls is 96.91, while that of boys is 93.90.

  • 92.7 percent of the candidates with disabilities have passed the examination.

  • Amongst the nine divisional boards, Konkan has recorded the higher pass percentage as usual (98.77), and Aurangabad  the lowest (92).

  • Out of the 22,570 schools in Maharashtra from which the students had answered the SSC examination, 8,360 schools have achieved a 100 percent result.

  • Examinations were conducted for a total of 60 subjects, out of which 20 subjects have 100 percent pass percentage.
