Pune: Dr Neelam Gorhe Leads Efforts to Enhance Devotee Experience at Ekvira Devi Temple

Lonavala, 23rd October 2023: The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has been entrusted with the responsibility of expediting various infrastructural projects, including the repair of the Ekvira Devi temple steps, the development of a ropeway, and improvements to devotee accommodations. This move by the state government is expected to transform the area and enhance its overall development, as expressed by Legislative Council Deputy Speaker, Dr. Neelam Gorhe.
Dr. Gorhe recently visited the Sri Ekvira Devi temple in Karla on the occasion of Ashtami during Navratri. The occasion was attended by several Shiv Sainiks and office bearers.
Dr Devi Charani Gorhe expressed her hopes, saying, “May Shri Ekvira Aai bestow strength, good health, comfort, and success upon all those who fulfil their duties. May the aspirations of the women who visit here be realized, and may all the devotees find success in their lives.”
During the first day of Navratri, a meeting was convened with Collector Rajesh Deshmukh, where permission from the Central Archaeological Department was secured for the proposed projects. Dr. Gorhe also mentioned plans for a forthcoming meeting with Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar to discuss matters related to the Forest Department’s involvement in the initiatives.
