Pune: Economics Board Organised At Shri Shivaji Maratha Society
Pune, 17th November 2022: The inauguration of the Economics Board was organized at the Shri Shivaji Maratha Society, Samajbhushan Baburao alias Appasaheb Jedhe Arts, Commerce and Science College, Shukrawar Peth, Pune.
As the initiator for the inauguration program, Professor Vilas Adhav, Head of the Department of Economics, Director and Head of the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, and Senate Member, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), was present.
The program was presided over by the principal of the college, Dr Dipali Patil, and the head of the Department of Economics. Dr LG Retwade, as well as the Head of the Banking Department, Dr Dadarao Ingle and all the professors of the Department of Economics, were present. On the occasion of the inauguration, Dr Adhaav explained how important it is to create an ideological and civilized generation while planning one year, the next ten years and the next hundred years in the social system.
Economics students should develop holistic thinking from local to global. This opinion was expressed. The principal of the college Dr Dipali Patil Madam opined that economics is a social subject and students need to be more knowledgeable to understand and solve various problems in society.
Dr LG Retwade gave instructions and warm wishes to all students of Economics to participate in the programs with great enthusiasm in the coming term. Dr Dadarao Ingle, Head of the Banking Department, introduced the program and explained in detail the background behind the inauguration of the Economics Study Board.
A total of 122 boys and girls attended the program. Also, in the Department of Economics, Prof. Thomas Fernandez, Prof. Mangesh Jadhav, Prof. Sriram Fartade, Prof. Parmita Pawar, Prof. Rajni Jarande, and others were present.
