Pune: Emergency Call Claims Threat to Prime Minister Modi’s Life; Caller Detained by Pimpri-Chinchwad Police

Pimpri Chinchwad, 26th September 2024: In a shocking incident, an individual contacted the emergency control room, claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life was at risk and that urgent assistance was required. The Pimpri-Chinchwad police responded promptly, detaining the caller within minutes and launching a thorough investigation.

Prime Minister Modi was scheduled to inaugurate 12 important projects, including a Metro line, during his visit to Pune today. However, due to heavy rainfall in the region, the visit was ultimately cancelled.

The alarming call was made earlier today, in which the caller stated, “Save Prime Minister Narendra Modi… help him.” This prompted an immediate police response, leading to the tracing of the call to the Thergaon area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC).

Through a technical investigation, officers located the individual waiting at a bus stop. The caller, who is from Latur District, had traveled to Thergaon to visit a friend.

Authorities are currently investigating the motives behind this distressing call, which raised considerable alarm.
