Pune: Fancy Rehabilitation Trust Celebrates Ratan Tata’s 85th Birthday

Pune, 29th December 2022: On the occasion of the 85th birthday of Ratan Tata (28th December), a program was organised by S A Rajan’s Fancy Rehabilitation Trust at Paraplegic Rehab Centre, Khadki, Pune for the entertainment of disabled Foujis (soldiers).

S A Rajan, Retired Senior Custom Officer from Mumbai Customs, founded Fancy Rehabilitation Trust in 1973 for the upliftment of handicapped and disabled people.

The entertainment of these disabled foujis and an effort to put a smile on their faces was the motto of this event.

The programme started around 5:00 PM with a short video showcasing the work done by the Fancy Rehabilitation Trust towards society and was followed by ‘Itni Shakti Hume Dena Daata’ sung by Mohan Bharat. Then, all the chief guests were invited to the stage to share their thoughts.

Mohan Bharat also sang ‘Mere sapno ki Rani’ and ‘Tere Mere Hoton Ke Geet.’ Surprisingly, both male and female lyrics were sung by Bharat himself. He received huge appreciation from the audience.

A Rajesh Khanna duplicate came on stage, performing Gulabi Aankhe and Dil Sacha aur Cahera Jhuta, entertaining all the guests.

The show-stopper was the 30-minute act of famous mentalist and illusionist Satish Deshmukh, who, with his experience of almost 50 years in the field, left the audience in amazement and suspense. He successfully involved every person in the auditorium in his performance, receiving a standing ovation.

All the chief guests were felicitated with an award and bouquet.

A duet performance by S A Rajan and Mohan Bharat of the song, “Paise ki pehchan yahan, Insaan ki koi keemat nahi” lit up the atmosphere.

In the end, a cake was cut to celebrate Ratan Tata’s birthday in the presence of all the chief guests. Mohan Bharat and anchor of the show KAKA JP sang birthday wishes for Tata.

The chief guests of the event were S A Rajan (founder of Fancy Rehabilitation Trust), Vasant Sankhe (deputy secretary – finance department of mantralaya), Arun Patel ( retd. Chief commissioner – customs), Colonel Dr R K Mukherjee, Colonel B.S Bhargav, Satish Deshmukh (famous mentalist and illusionist), Mr Mohan Bharat (singer), Kaka JP ( anchor), and Devandra Bhujbal (Former Director I & PR).
