Pune: Farmer’s Daughter Selected For Women’s IPL 2022

Pimpri, 19th May 2022: Shraddha Pokharkar of Verrock Vengsarkar Cricket Academy in Thergaon has been selected for the women’s IPL (Indian Premier League) tournament. Shraddha will be seen playing for the team “Trailblazers” in this tournament starting from May 23.
Shraddha Bhausaheb Pokharkar of Thorandale village in Ambegaon taluka in Pune district, Maharashtra, belongs to a farmer family. Shraddha’s primary education took place in Thorandale village. She completed her engineering education from D. Y. Patil College in Pimpri. She started practicing at Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy as she loved cricket from an early age. She has been training at the Warrock-Vengsarkar Cricket Academy for the last five years. Shraddha is representing the Maharashtra women’s cricket team.

While playing for the Maharashtra Senior Women’s Team this year, Shraddha caught everyone’s eye with her all-rounder performance. Shraddha is a fast bowler with her left hand. She also do batting in the middle order. A few days ago, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) organized the Senior Women’s Twenty20 Cricket Tournament. Shraddha took nine wickets with an all-rounder performance. She is currently being praised for being selected for the IPL.
Under the guidance of Mohan Jadhav, Bhushan Suryavanshi, Dr Vijay Patil, Shadab Sheikh, Chandan Gangawane; Shraddha did her regular practice. Former Indian cricketers Jhulan Goswami and Ashish Nehra are her favorite players. She wants to represent India in the future and is working hard for it.
