Pune: Female Railway Worker Attacked With Iron Rod For Objecting Garbage Throwing In Public Place

Lonavala, 13th October 2022: A shocking incident has taken place in Lonavala on Wednesday (October 12) morning when a woman railway cleaner were attacked with an iron rod after they were told to throw the garbage in the dustbin instead of elsewhere. After this incident, Lonavala city police arrested the concerned person.

 

The name of the arrested person is Sachin Eknath Pawar (31), a resident of Apti, Bhor, Pune. Alka Raju Sable (38), a resident of Karanjgaon, Maval has filed a complaint at the Lonavla city police station in this regard.

 

According to the Lonavla city police, Alka Sable works as a sweeper at the Lonavla railway station. On Wednesday morning she was cleaning and at that time, Sachin Pawar was throwing garbage on the steps of the railway flyover near the railway ticket counter in the market area of Lonavla railway station. Hence, Sable requested him not to throw the garbage elsewhere but put the garbage in the pot and she continued with the cleaning work.

After some time, Sable once again asked him not to throw garbage elsewhere when she was cleaning the railway vehicle depot which angered him. After that, he beat Sable with an iron crowbar he was carrying in a bag.

 

During this, Sable’s left shoulder and left eye were seriously injured and Sable was left seriously injured in this incident. The Lonavala City Police has detained Sachin Pawar and arrested him and further investigation of this incident is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Sunil Powar of the Lonavala City Police Station.
