Pune: Few Fire Incidents This Diwali Due To Firecrackers

Pune, November 15, 2020: This Diwali Pune city fire brigade recorded a total of 19 fire incidents out of which only five were due to firecrackers. Officials said that usually fires due to bursting of firecrackers are in double-digit on Diwali.

According to the fire brigade, between 7 pm on November 14 and 7 am on November 15, a total of 19 fire-related incidents were reported to the control room. Of this only five were related to the bursting of firecrackers.

The fire incident on Lakshmipujan day due to firecrackers were reported at the following places:

1) A fire broke out in the gallery at 179, Guruwar Peth, Phulwala Chowk.

2) A fire broke out in a house at Sinhgad Road, Suncity, Sunpardise Phase No.2.

3) Fire at Baba Garden Hotel, Paud Road, Near Kothrud Garbage Depot.

4) Fire on the terrace of Faraskhana police station.

5) Fire in garbage at Ganesh Nagar in Yerwada.
