Pune: FIR Against Cooperative Society Members After Harassment of Welfare Society in Girivan, Mulshi

Mulshi, 10th January 2025: Girivan, a serene locality known for its peaceful community, is now in the midst of a troubling dispute involving Sujata Farms Pvt. Ltd. (SFPL) and the newly formed Girivan Cooperative Maintenance Society. Employees of SFPL, led by Managing Director Mr. Jayant Mhalgi, and individuals associated with the Cooperative Society, have come under suspicion for their alleged role in harassing members of the Girivan Welfare Society (GWS).
The incident took a disturbing turn when piles of stones were deliberately dumped at the entrances of several plots owned by GWS members, obstructing access to their properties. GWS, alarmed by the escalation, filed a formal complaint with Pune Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Mr. Pankaj Deshmukh.
Upon reviewing the evidence, including photos and videos of the incident, SP Deshmukh expressed strong disapproval and immediately ordered the Paud police to remove the obstructions and take stringent action against those responsible. Acting on his directives, the Paud police station registered an FIR and cleared the stones in a swift operation that lasted throughout Wednesday.
The case has been registered under sections 3 (5) and 126 of the BNS against Deepak Pradhan, Sandeep Badhe and Nitin Sathe.
GWS has urged its members to remain vigilant and united in the face of such actions, which they claim are part of a larger pattern of intimidation orchestrated by the individuals connected to SFPL and the new Cooperative Society.
Although the timely intervention of the police has provided some relief to GWS members, the incident highlights the urgent need for stronger measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
