Pune: FIR against woman for running beauty parlor in Kalyani Nagar

Kalyani Nagar, June 5, 2020: The Pune City Police Crime Branch has taken action against a beauty parlor serving customers by making an appointment on WhatsApp even during lockdown in Kalyani Nagar area. A case has been registered against the owner at Yerwada police station.

 

Some establishments such as malls, salons, beauty parlors, schools, colleges have been closed during the lockdown. “I had received information that some salons are operating even lockdown. The information was verified yesterday by Crime branch unit-4 and the case was registered against the owner of salon in Kalyaninagar for operating during lockdown against the directives of the government”, said DCP (crime) Bachchan Singh.

 

According to police, the case has been registered against Mansi Balkrishna Dongra (35), a resident of North Avenue Road, Kalyani Nagar, who was running Mansi Beauty Parlor / Salon. The police team raided the beauty parlour around 1 pm yesterday and found her face-packing a customer. She has been charged for offences under sections 188, 269 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as relevant sections of the National Disaster Management Act and Maharashtra COVID19 Regulations 2020.

 

The action was taken by a team which included Police Inspector Anjum Bagwan, Assistant Police Inspector Ganesh Pawar and policemen Raju Mache, Ramesh Rathod and Sagar Ghorpade.
