Pune Fire Brigade Responds to 51 Fire Incidents During Diwali Night

Pune, 21st October 2025: The Pune Fire Brigade had a busy Diwali night, responding to 25 fire incidents reported across the city from Monday afternoon till Tuesday morning. Of these, three fires were caused by fireworks, while the causes of the remaining 22 incidents are yet to be determined, officials said.

According to the Fire Department Control Room, today, between 5 pm and 10 pm (Lakshmi Pujan night), a total of 26 fire incidents have been reported. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in any of the incidents.

5:12 pm: Fire in an open space at Hadapsar, Gali No. 15
7:20 pm: Fire in a shop near Chaudhary Dutt Mandir, Warje
7:45 pm: Fire on the terrace of a building behind Zeal College, Narhe village
7:58 pm: Fire on a terrace near Gajanan Maharaj Mandir, Kalepadal
7:59 pm: Fire on a terrace near Datta Mandir, Budhwar Peth
8:04 pm: Fire in a gallery of a building near Saattoti Police Chowky, Kasba Peth
8:10 pm: Fire in a coconut tree at Sanjay Park, Viman Nagar
8:22 pm: Fire in grass along the roadside at Manjari Khurd
8:25 pm: Fire in a gallery near Bhavani Peth Ward Office
8:27 pm: Fire in a two-wheeler at Vadgaon Sheri, Ganesh Nagar
8:29 pm: Fire in garbage at Dhanori, Kalwad Vasti
8:35 pm: Fire in a gallery near Tapodham Kamani, Warje
8:36 pm: Two fires reported simultaneously — one in garbage at Kasba Peth, Kagdipura, and another in a gallery at Dhayari Phata
8:40 pm: Fire in a godown near Jeevan Super Market, Viman Nagar
8:46 pm: Fire on the roof of a house near Phadgate Police Chowky, Shukrawar Peth
8:51 pm: Fire in a gallery at Motha Ganapati Mandal, Ghorpadi Peth
8:54 pm: Fire on the roof of a building at Dulya Maruti Chowk, Ganesh Peth

9:26 pm: Fire in plastic materials on the floor of a workshop near Kamthe Udyan, Wanawadi.
9:28 pm: Fire in a house in a building on PAN Card Club Road, Baner.
9:38 pm: Fire in a house located in a mansion at Bhimnagar Kaman, Mangalwar Peth.
9:45 pm: Fire in a house on the second floor of Gangakunj Society, Kalas, Vishrantwadi.
9:55 pm: Fire in a house at Chitra Chowk, Yerawada.
9:57 pm: Fire in the attic of a house at Solapur Bazaar.

Fire tenders from multiple stations — including Hadapsar, Warje, Kothrud, Navle, Kalepadal, Yerwada, Dhanori, Kasba, Kharadi, and the Central Fire Station — were pressed into service to control the situation.

The Pune Fire Brigade has appealed to citizens to remain cautious while bursting firecrackers and to ensure basic safety measures such as keeping water buckets and sand nearby.
