Pune: Fire Erupts at Sodium Chloride Packaging Unit in Ambad Bet, Mulshi; Three Injured
Mulshi, 28th September 2025: A fire broke out at Swaraj Enterprises, a sodium chloride packaging company in Ambad Bet, Mulshi, around 12:15 pm on Sunday. The Marunji Fire Brigade and local police rushed to the site, and firefighting operations are currently underway.
Three individuals sustained injuries in the incident. Two men, Sandeep Laxman Shendkar, 49, and Mohit Raj Sukhan Chaudhary, 49, suffered burns covering approximately 60 percent of their bodies. A woman, Renuka Dhanraj Gaikwad, 40, sustained burns over about 10 percent of her body. All three were immediately transported to Shraddha Hospital, Ghotawade Phata, where they are receiving primary treatment.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. The police and fire department continue to monitor the situation to prevent further damage.
Senior Police Inspector Santosh Girigosavi of Paud Police Station confirmed the details.
