Pune: Firing Incident Outside Kondhwa Restaurant Over Minor Dispute; Police Register Case Against Two

Kondhwa, 21st December 2024: A minor argument escalated into chaos outside a restaurant in Kondhwa on Saturday midnight when a man fired a pistol in the air to intimidate others. The Kondhwa police have registered a case against two individuals involved in the incident.
The accused have been identified as Abdullah alias Baklab Kuroshi, a resident of Sayyadnagar, Mohammadwadi, and one of his accomplices.
According to the police, Abdullah, along with Taha Sheikh, Noman Pathan, and another friend, had gone to Karim’s Cafe in the Kausarbagh area of Kondhwa for dinner on Saturday night. While at the restaurant, Abdullah was seen standing and talking with his girlfriend some distance away.
The trouble began when three individuals approached Abdullah and his girlfriend, asking them not to talk on the roadside. This led to an argument between Abdullah and the group. The group allegedly brandished a sword and vandalized vehicles parked outside the restaurant by smashing their windows with cement blocks.
In response to the escalating situation, Abdullah fired a pistol into the air, presumably to scare the group. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Upon receiving information about the disturbance, Kondhwa police rushed to the spot and detained one individual for questioning. During the investigation, it was revealed that Abdullah was the one who had fired the pistol.
Senior police officials have stated that further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend all those involved in the incident.
