Pune: Four Minors Escape From Juvenile Correctional Home In Yerwada
Yerwada, 19th April 2023: Four minors have reportedly escaped from the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Udyog Kendra, an observatory and remand home for children in Yerwada.
The accused, identified as Imran Sheikh, Aman Tiwari, Gaus Qureshi, and Sumit Chandamaniram, were being held at the juvenile correctional home after being arrested for various crimes in the city. The teens allegedly broke a window during a quarrel on Tuesday and used a ladder to climb down and escape the facility.
The incident was not noticed until after the escape was complete. The authorities have launched a search for the escaped minors and are investigating the security lapses that allowed the escape to occur.
