Pune: Free COVID Vaccine For Above 18 Years People At Government Centres From Wednesday

Pune, 22 June 2021: The vaccination drive against coronavirus (COVID-19) in Pune has started on a large scale and citizens above the age group of 18 years will be immunised from Wednesday.

The city is at the forefront of the vaccination drive, and the new vaccination policy will give a big boost in the fight against COVID-19. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has planned the vaccination campaign keeping in mind the number of citizens aged above 18 years in the city, informed Mayor Murlidhar Mohol.

“On the first day, we will begin vaccination against COVID-19 at 53 centres and 100 Covishield vaccines will be available at each centre. At each centre, around 70 per cent of doses will be available for citizens who have made online appointment bookings and 30 per cent of doses have been allocated for on-spot registration. Online registration on Cowin for the same will begin at 8 am on Wednesday,” Mohol said.
