Pune: Friend Does What An Enemy Wouldn’t, Leaving Injured Friend To Die After Bibwewadi Collision

Bibwewadi, 30th December 2024: In a shocking incident, a man abandoned his injured friend after a two-wheeler collision with a car, leaving him to die without medical assistance. The accident occurred in front of Pushpa Mangal Karyalay on the morning of 25th December. A case has been registered against the two-wheeler driver at Bibwewadi Police Station.

The accused, identified as Santosh Nagnath Bhise (25, a resident of Market Yard), has been booked for his actions. The deceased was Krishna Laxman Sasane. According to Police Sub Inspector Ashok Yewale, the two were friends travelling home on a two-wheeler when the incident occurred.

While attempting to overtake a car, the two-wheeler collided, causing Krishna, who was riding pillion, to fall and sustain injuries. Instead of rushing Krishna to the hospital or seeking help, Santosh allegedly left him at the Chintamani Deshmukh Primary School grounds and fled. Krishna succumbed to his injuries due to a lack of timely medical attention.

The body was discovered on the school grounds the following morning, and an investigation uncovered the sequence of events. A case has been registered against Santosh Bhise, and PSI Yewale is conducting further investigations.
