Pune Gets MCCIA Electronics Cluster Foundation For Testing, Certification, Calibration, Design and Simulation

Pune, 11th June 2022: Subhash Desai – Minister for Industries, Maharashtra State, today inaugurated the MCCIA Electronics Cluster Foundation.

Desai complimented the Maratha Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) for taking the initiative to create specialised facilities for Testing, Certification, Calibration, Design and Simulation among other facilities for the Electronics Industry.

He added that this will enable the Electronics Industry to come out with world-class products and services. This Centre will provide precious knowledge-based equipment and certification accepted in international markets. He stated that MECF is a prestigious facility and welcome addition to Pune and Maharashtra’s industrial infrastructure. He stated that SMEs from the Electronics sector who can not afford expensive equipment for testing and development will find this Common Facility Centre very useful. He mentioned that the potential Investors from Electronics and dependent sectors who look for world-class facilities in their respective sectors will also find this Centre immensely valuable.

He added that the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra are implementing several Cluster Projects in Urban and Rural areas of the Maharashtra State.

Sudhir Mehta, president of MCCIA, stated this project is a dream come true for the Chamber and expressed his gratitude to the Government of India, Maharashtra State, Industry Contributors, operating partners for their contributions to making this project a reality.

Pradeep Bhargava, immediate past president of MCCIA and Chairman of MECF presented the details of the facilities. On this occasion, the first Test Report from the MECF facility was handed over by TuV Rheinland to Melux Controls.

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner Rajesh Patil stated that MCCIA has made a tremendous contribution and worked continuously with PCMC to promote industrial development and many initiatives in Pimpri Chinchwad City.
