Pune gets two Dada saheb phalke awards this year
Pune 1st Nov 2018 : Kalyani Nagar based Hema Kotnis was felicitated with the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Award 2018 for Appreciation to the creations category as “Beauty with Purpose” at New Delhi recently.
Another Dada Saheb Phalke award which was received was by Karan Kotnis as the Best Entrepreneur.
Both were presented this prestigious award at a starstudded ceremony with other awardees at the hands of Shri Satpal Maharaj (Tourism minister of Uttarakhand) and Mr Sandeep Marwa (Film Producer).
Present amongst the dignitaries were Raftar music composer and Anjana Om Kashyap (TvAnchor Aaj Tak) along with many celebrities, socialities, businessmen and entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the occasion Hema Kotnis said, “It’s a moment of great pride and honor for receiving this prestigious award and i feel really humbled. I am the first woman from Pune to receive this Award in this category which has been started two years ago. I was nominated in 2016 and the committee observed my work and finally I was selected this year for the same
I am happy that i could make my family and my city proud with this achievement. It wouldn’t have been possible without the continuous support of my family and well wishers.”
Speaking at the occasion Karan Kotnis, CEO Kotnis Group received as the Best Entrepreneur in the field of Tourism and the Hospitality Industry
He feels elated to have received this prestigious award and is really thankful to the support of his family and father and has the confidence to take things forward with great steam
