Pune: Girl’s Relatives Thrash Clerk For Demanding Sexual Favours For Increasing Marks

Pune, 14 July 2021: A Clerk of Desai college has been arrested by Pune city police for allegedly demanding sexual favours from a class 12th student in lieu of increasing her marks.

According to police, even after the girl refused, the accused demanded physical relation. The girl recorded conversation with the teacher and informed her parents.

Today afternoon, the girl’s family and relatives rushed to the college along with some activists. They blackened his face, beat him, and took him to police station.

Police Inspector (Crime) Kundlik Kaygude said, “Abhijit Pawar is a clerk of Desai College. He had used obscene language with a girl student. We have taken him into custody. A case under section 354 and 509 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered. Principal of Desai college was called and has been warned to make sure no such incident is repeated in the college.”
