Pune: Goodwill Breeza Society Hosts Successful Blood Donation Camp During Ganesh Festival
Lohegaon, 24th September 2023: In a heartwarming display of community spirit and generosity, the Goodwill Breeza Co-operative Society on Porwal Road in Dhanori successfully organized a blood donation camp on the occasion of the Ganesh Festival. Held on Sunday, September 24th, the event garnered an overwhelming response from residents and volunteers who united for this noble cause.
The blood donation camp was a joint initiative between Goodwill Breeza Society, healthcare authorities from Aundh District Hospital, and committed volunteers. The event aimed to meet the constant demand for blood, particularly heightened during festive seasons and further complicated by the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Strict safety protocols were in place throughout the event to ensure the well-being of both donors and organizers. Comprehensive hygiene measures, including sanitization stations and temperature checks, were implemented to create a secure environment for all participants.
Kicking off at 10 a.m., the event saw an impressive turnout, with over 57 donors participating. These donors spanned various age groups, from young adults to senior citizens, all demonstrating their unwavering commitment to saving lives.
