Pune: Hadapsar Police Arrest Three Members Of Koyta Gang Who Terrorised People

Hadapsar, 23rd December 2022: The officials from Hadapsar police station (Pune city police) have arrested three more members of Koyta gang from Bhiwandi and Ahmednagar who were terrorizing residents of Manjari near Hadapsar, Pune.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sameer Liaquat Pathan (26), Shoaib Liaquat Pathan (22), both residents of Gopalpatti in Manjari, and Ganesh alias Dada Vitthal Havaldar (22) of Mahadevnagar, Hadapsar.
According to police, in the Manjari Budruk area of the city, the hooligans abused the local people for petty reasons and beat them with stones and belts, and injured them. Apart from that, while running away on a bike, they created terror by waving koyta (chopper) in the air.
After the case was registered, the main accused Sameer Pathan, Shoaib Pathan, Ganesh alias Dada Havaldar had absconded and changed their locations frequently. They hid in various places like Bhor, Sangli, Kolhapur, and Baramati.
After receiving technical information about the presence of the accused Ganesh alias Dada Havaldar in Kamthghar in Bhiwandi, a team was sent there and the accused were nabbed in the early hours of Friday.
Another team went to Ahmednagar and arrested Sameer Pathan and Shoaib Pathan from Datarange Mala in the Nalegaon area of Ahmednagar district.
Hadapsar police have arrested 10 people so far in the case.
The investigation team included Senior Police Inspector Arvind Gokul, Sub Inspector Avinash Shinde, and Sushil Lonkar, Sandeep Rathod, Sachin Jadhav, Sameer Pandule, Shahid Sheikh, Nikhil Pawar, Prashat Dudhaal, Prashant Tonpe, Atul Pandharkar, Sachin Gorkhe, Bhagwan Humbarde and Anirudh Sonwane.
