Pune has enough stock of Hand Sanitizers

As the Corona virus (Covid 19) outbreak spreads, people have started using masks and hand sanitizers, which caused a tremendous shortage for a few days, but, now sanitizers are available according to manufacturers and distributors in the city.

Sanitizers are used to clean hands without soap and water. “All sanitizers like DM’s S T O P, kill 99.9 percent harmful bacteria and germs”, Says Taurn Ahuja, Growell Trendz LLP who make S T O P hand sanitizer.
Speaking to us Manoharlal Ahuja – Director Tarun Enterprises who distribute S T O P among other brands says, “There was panic in the market when stocks ran low, but things are back to normal now”
Tarun Ahuja avers,’World Health Organization (WHO) recommends hand sanitizers which contains 60 percent alcohol, which covers all areas of hands and can be used easily on the move even in places where soap and water are had to come by.”

Kanhaiya Chaudhary, of Medicure a leading chemist in Pune clarified, ‘There is no panic situation in Pune, regards to the availability of masks and sanitizers. Though stock was not enough for a while, the situation has normalized.

“Awareness has increased about using masks and sanitizers, and we are planning an awareness drive, under our social responsibility initiatives” avers Tarun

Social organizations like Shri Gurunanak Darbar (Pimpri) with the blessings of Sant Baba Gyani Inderjeet Singh, have also planned to participate in the awareness drive Ahuja revealed.
He said, ‘The novel coronavirus spreads through contact with respiratory droplets spread during coughing and sneezing, according to experts. Besides keeping contact to a minimum with an infected person, the preventive measures include frequent washing of hands and use of hand sanitizers. Fresh tissues should be used while sneezing and coughing and then discarded, to ensure the virus does not spread.
